EVELYNE BRADER-FRANK
THE MINIS
Small but strong & packed with fun and personality: minis. The organic shapes and curves of the marble evoke a sense of beauty and grace, both elegant and powerful. Each sculpture seems to come alive, celebrating the beauty of the human form and the joy of life itself. The flowing lines and fluid movement of the pieces call to mind the celebration of dance, as if each figure were frozen in the midst of a lively performance.
“A unique form language, feminine, soft yet strong, classic to abstract, and undeniably feminine. The marble, as a material of Venus, brings harmony and gives the sculpture a dynamic presence. It is a tribute to the beauty and power of women, reflected in every line and curve.” – Evelyne Brader-Frank 2023
Brader-Frank’s sculptures are inspired by the human body, especially feminine forms, and often draw influence from Greek and Roman mythology. She is best known for working with soapstone, although she also creates pieces using bronze, concrete, and most recently, steel. She carefully carves her stone sculptures by hand, while her metal works are created through melting and casting processes. No matter what material she uses, her sculptures have the same distinctive style, characterized by graceful curves and simplified forms. Instead of emphasizing fine details, she uses the shape of the body to express emotions, femininity, and strength. Her work transforms the human figure into a unique artistic language that invites viewers to experience the emotions captured within each sculpture.
